She appeared in a video that went viral during Israel's attack on the Gaza Strip in May 2021, where she broke down while talking to Middle East Eye after Israeli air strikes flattened her neighbours' house, killing eight children and two women.


In the video, which has been viewed millions of times, Abdullatif appears tearful and devastated as she stands near her neighbours' home.


Gesturing at the rubble behind her, she asks: "You see all of this? What do you expect me to do? Fix it? I'm only 10."


Preliminary results in Lebanon's parliamentary elections show some notable breakthroughs for independents at the expense of many heavyweight names and parties - with the right-wing Lebanese Forces party declaring significant gains.

Lebanese voted on Sunday in the first polls since 2018, a period that has seen a terrifying economic collapse, an anti-establishment popular uprising and a the Beirut port blast that killed over 200 people.


Last time around, Hezbollah and its allies won a majority in Lebanon's 128-seat parliament, but there is some indication the bloc will not be able to repeat the trick as votes continue to be counted.
